波兰在第二次世界大战中，被德国法西斯侵占，为了国家的独立，波兰人民曾长期坚持反法西斯斗争，其中包括武装斗争和以文学特别是诗歌創作形式的斗争，许多诗人这一时期創作的诗歌不仅揭露了德国法西斯对包括波兰在内的欧洲各国人民的残酷压迫，而且真实反映了波兰人民艰苦卓绝的反法西斯斗争，表现了他们的爱国主义和英雄主义的思想精神。战后初期，波兰作家又创作了大量反法西斯题材和戏剧作品，其中有的写奥斯威辛集中营和波兰的反法西抵抗运动，有的写在法西斯主义发源地：战前的德国，人们对于法西斯的不同态度等等，内容涉及了占领时期社会现实的各个方面，在欧洲反法西斯文学創作中，占有十分重要的地位。
During World War II, Poland was occupied by the German Fascist. The polish people insisted for a long time to struggle, against fascism and acquire National Independence. Among these struggles are armed defense and literary protest, especially poetic creation. Many poets’ creations of poetry during this period not only revealed German fascists’ cruel oppression to the Polish people and other Europeans, but also reflected the Polish’s arduous struggle against fascism, manifesting their spirit of patriotism and heroism. During the early postwar movements, the Polish writers wrote a multitude of anti-fascist novels and plays, some focusing on Auschwitz Concentration Camp and the anti-fascism movement, some focusing on the origin of fascism and people’s different viewpoints of fascism during the period of pre-war Germany: the content involves all aspects of social reality. These masterpieces occupy very important positions among the anti-fascist literature creations in Europe.
